Do you happen to have 2 minutes?
As part of my efforts to release a self-help eBook by the end of August 2021, I was hoping to get the pulse of the public (so to speak) on the topics that they would like me to touch on. The general question is this: If you had an opportunity to talk to a counseling and/or sport psychologist for an hour, what would the session focus on?

Lihit Lab Aqua Drops Congress Case A4 Size (A-5024)
Probably the best thing since sliced bread to a comic book collector is the Lihit Lab Aqua Drops Case which fits—and I will attest to this—most modern day comics and magazines with relative ease. Lihit Lab’s A4 case can comfortably hold around 9 to 10 boarded and bagged comic books (possibly even 12…if your feeling a bit adventurous). This number drops considerably if it is used to store graded books (e.g., CGC, CBCS) as well as books housed in BCW Comic Book Toploaders.
Last Thursday (January 28), I happened to drop by National Bookstore in Glorietta and saw that they had 11 pieces in stock (10 green | 1 slightly dilapidated red). In my experience, these Congress Cases are relatively hard to come by and coupled with the fact that I haven’t really had a chance to “look around” since the start of the 2020 Pandemic…I decided to pick up three of them.

Retailing at around P312 pesos, these Aqua Drops aren’t cheap. But when I was told at the counter that they were 50% off, I broke my budget and went back for the remaining seven cases.
The A4 cases come in four colors: Green, Red, Yellow, and Milky White.
WandaVision (2021)
It’s been almost five years since I followed a television series “as it was happening” (That would be the 7th and final season of CBS’ The Good Wife). Every show since has fallen under the “after the fact” category. The Mandalorian (Seasons 1 and 2) would be the best example: I binge watched the entire series only this past November-December.
Enter the initial offering of Disney+ —WandaVision—the first of many miniseries that are set in the continuity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (I am a huge fan of continuity storylines and would have watched the show on that merit alone). Three weeks ago, Disney+ started things off by releasing the first two episodes back-to-back and an episode every week thereafter.
Now, I have to admit that I watched the first two episodes on the day that they came out. However, I decided to skip episode 3 and just wait until episode 4 came out (My personal preference and not recommend).
A standing order for all the Marvel shows.
I figured, by consuming the episodes in this manner, I would be spared from having to wait seven days for an answer to the previous episode’s twist or turn. Episodes 3 and 4 will certainly vouch for that.
Promotional poster with more than one meaning.
With that wrinkle aside, its great that Disney and Marvel have decided to expand the backstories of their characters in this way as there is only so much that the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies can give us.
By the end of WandaVision, I wouldn’t be surprised if the viewing public became even more interested in the unlikely couple given that the amount of screen time that we have spent with them—movies + miniseries—would be more than any other Avenger combined.
Dairy Queen Treat
Testing Gravity: To be honest, I can’t remember the last time I ate a Dairy Queen Blizzard. But I do remember this one—my better half’s treat! | Photographed on January 26, 2021 | ©Tedi Gustilo Villasor

Was saddened to hear that the dish—Grilled Pepper Fish Fillet—that I usually order whenever I eat at Italianni’s has been phased out. Luckily, the kitchen still had the ingredients back in the kitchen to make the magic happen—likely—for the last time.
Movie of the Week (MOTW): Escape Room (2019)
The iTunes Store - Philippines “Film of the Week” is a psychological horror film that managed to put me on the edge of my seat for a couple of scenes. A cross between the Saw and Final Destination franchises, the movie leaves the door open for a sequel (2022).
Netflix Show of the Week (NetSOTW): Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez (2020)
As an American True Crime and Sports Documentary, I was immediate drawn to the story of former New England Patriots Tight End Aaron Hernandez. His tragic story had every possible element that you could think of—so many in fact that if one were not familiar with his case (I wasn’t)—you would think it was a work of fiction.
This is a story of the importance of a stable home environment as well as the risks that every football player takes when they enter the Gridiron.
I highly recommend it.
Aaron Hernandez’ proverbial “red flags” dropped the talented tight end from being a potential 1st round pick to the 4th round.
